maxtrax1.jpg

The most fun you can have in the desert with your 4x4 is crossing sand dunes, soft sand and fesh fesh patches. In the Egyptian deserts these fun natural wonders are very hard to avoid and more often than not you’ll get stuck in the soft sand.

MAXTRAX makes vehicle extraction and recovery a simple, one-person task for anybody, of any age. Used in a commercial setting, such as by government field staff or by outdoor industries such as mining and exploration, MAXTRAX is an essential tool that saves both time and money. MAXTRAX was developed to take the place of heavy, cumbersome vehicle extraction equipment. Weighing in at less than 4kg, MAXTRAX is easy to carry, manoeuvre, and extremely simple to use. Yet it’s built for strength and heavy-duty vehicle recovery!

Top Note: It’s recommended they’d be fastened on the roof rack. Our custom roof racks can be fitted with sand mats mounting hardware and we also have generic mounts for mounting on other roof racks and swing away tire carriers.

Snatch Blocks

An ARB snatch block is used in conjunction with a portable or vehicle mounted winch, it doubles the winch pulling capacity or significantly reduces the load on the winch by half. It also provides versatility to allow winching from varying angles when straight ahead pulls aren't the best option.

ARB snatch blocks are designed for long life and incorporate our original feature of a greasable, hardened steel pin and easy glide side plates.

Snatch Straps

An ARB snatch strap is one of the most popular and easiest to use items of recovery equipment. They are used to recover bogged or immobilized vehicles and operate similar to a big rubber band between two vehicles.

ARB snatch straps are manufactured from 100% nylon webbing, have a genuine 20% stretch for maximum effect and incorporate a unique, overload safety indicator.

ARB snatch straps are available in 2 breaking strengths- 8000, 11000 and 15000kg. The popular 8000kg model is recommended for general off road use while the 11000 and the 15000kg straps are recommended for much heavier applications by tour operators, farmers and machinery and those towing a trailer or van. Call us and we’ll recommend the best strap to suit your needs.

Tow Straps

Every vehicle will break down at one time or another; that’s a fact. When your vehicle breaks down in the desert, you’ll need to get it out yourself, but a regular tow strap will not do.

Our 4WD desert extraction tow straps are much stronger than regular tow straps and will take much more abuse. This is very important since towing a vehicle Offroad exerts tremendous pulling powers on the strap. Think about it, you’ll be towing a vehicle fully loaded with camping gear in soft sand, over the rocks, up hill, etc. in off camber situations.

The tow straps are also longer to allow room for maneuverability off road and to provide a safe braking distance.
